Home Education Approval Process

The Stoughton Public Schools has implemented a process designed to make the approval of Home Education Proposals as simple and straightforward as possible, while ensuring all parties meet their responsibilities under the Law.

For families interested in home educating their children, they must complete the following activities:

Once a form is submitted it will be reviewed by the Home Education Coordinator.  Acceptable proposals will be signed and returned to the families.  In the event the proposal fails to meet the District’s requirements, the Home Education Coordinator will enter into consultation with the family and attempt to find a mutually agreeable solution.
