The USBands State Marching Band Championships are being held at Stoughton High on Saturday, October 26 (at Veterans Memorial Stadium)! This is a great chance to see many high school marching bands perform, including our very own SHS Marching Black Knights! Stoughton's performance is scheduled for 6:30pm.

The students have been practicing and performing at Festivals this year and have worked hard for you listening enjoyment
Students taking Drawing 2 at Stoughton High worked on a project making balloon letters with charcoal. Students photographed Mylar balloons of their initials, then drew them using a grid system. They next used white and black charcoal pencils on gray toned paper to recreate the shiny reflective texture. Take a look at some examples here. They did an amazing job!

More than 45 students in grades 8-12 will be performing in Stoughton High School’s spring production of Pippin! They have been working tirelessly for over 6 weeks rehearsing! Performances will take place in the SHS Auditorium: Friday, April 26 at 7pm; Saturday, April 27 at 7pm; and Sunday, April 28 at 4pm. It was great to see all of the many talented Stoughton student musicians perform at the recent Solo & Ensemble Night concert in the Black Box Theater at SHS!
We had many students audition for the Jr. SEMSBA Festival! Congratulations to all the students who auditioned as they put in many practice hours for their audition.
SEMSBA is open to all School Districts in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Tuesday Jazz going to UMASS Amherst Jazz Festival Saturday April 6, 2024
Tuesday Jazz will be attending the UMASS Jazz Festival. They will have a full day of clinics and performances.
They will perform at 12:15 PM in the Tillis Hall. There will be booths and other artists at the festival.
The winning high school will open for the "Mingus Dynasty" Band who will perform at 8:00 PM in the Tillis Hall.
SHS 2nd Annual Solo and Ensemble Night
SHS is holding their Second Annual Solo & Ensemble Night on Thursday April 11, 2024 beginning at 7:00 PM in the SHS Black Box Theater.
Students are welcome to play a solo or get together with their friends and play and sing together. We will have performance by the Jazz Voices.

Stoughton High students have had their artwork on display at the Stoughton Public Library throughout the month of January! This collection of artwork was created by some of the amazingly creative art students at SHS in the advanced art courses and some are members of National Art Honor Society (NAHS). These young artists are exploring new materials and methods in art, experimenting with color mixing, learning design principles, and applying techniques while addressing complex artistic concepts.
