Congratulations to Murtaza Khalil and Ella Holden as they were selected to represent Stoughton High School at the 2023 Hockomock League Scholar Athlete Award Banquet!
The Hockomock League Scholar Athlete Award is given to the top-ranked male and female student-athletes in each school and is based on academics, athletic participation, sportsmanship, leadership, and citizenship. The event took place on May 5 at Lake Pearl in Wrentham. Principal Julie Miller, Director of Athletics Christopher Carbone, and the parents of the students were in attendance.
Murtaza participated in soccer and tennis at SHS and will be attending Boston University in the fall to study Biochemistry. Ella participated in volleyball and indoor and outdoor track and field at SHS and will be attending Tufts University in the fall to study Biomedical Engineering.
